MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
MASSACHUSETTS ENA STATE COUNCIL
“SURVIVING AND THRIVING AT TRIAGE”


This is an agreement between the Massachusetts ENA State Council and

for use of the “Surviving and Thriving at Triage” portable educational program packet. This
document includes a list of responsibilities for the two parties and some guidelines for the coordination of the project. This education packet is available to ENA Chapters and Emergency Departments in Massachusetts. There is no cost to request and use this educational program.
Massachusetts ENA State Council/Education Committee Responsibilities:
Completion, submission and application fee for CECH application from ENA
Provides packet to requesting party, which includes:
a. Suggested lectures/topics
b. Program coordination timeline
c. Objectives, outline and reference list for each lecture
d. Speaker list with contact information
e. List of AV equipment available on loan from Mass ENA
f. Form letters useful in corresponding with speakers and participants
g. Brochure template
h. Sample budget
Contact person from Mass ENA Education Committee who will act as resource
for course coordinator and planning committee.

Course Coordinator and planning committee responsibilities:
Selection of program date(s) and location
Contacting and confirming speakers and their topics
Producing and mailing program brochure
Registrant confirmation
Cost of reproducing course materials, speaker fees, room fees, food and course
coordinator fee
Obtaining and renting AV equipment not available on loan from Mass ENA
Course record keeping
Copying of course CECH certificate and distribution to registrants
Will provide all necessary information to the Mass ENA education committee for
completion and submission of the CECH application
Copy of evaluations or summary after course completion will be sent to Mass ENA
education committee
Completion of a survey by course coordinator and planning committee for education
committee which will be used to make improvements in course content

By signing this “Memorandum of Understanding”, the course coordinator and planning committee agree to the above responsibilities. They also understand that this course may not be shared with other groups or organizations without the permission of the Massachusetts ENA State Council. Any changes to the course should be shared with the education committee in hopes of improving and updating this portable course.
