Are you an expert
in some area of Emergency Nursing Practice? Please send us an informal note telling us
about your topic, your background and expertise in the topic, as well as
where/when you have spoken in the past.
Topics
should:
n
be primarily clinical and of great interest
to most emergency nurses
n
include the implications for emergency
nursing practice
n
include pearls of wisdom, pitfalls, and
mistakes we can all learn from, based on
evidence and experience
n
be about what emergency nurses need to know right now, vs. what would be nice to know
Presentations can also include
n
Descriptions of innovative programs that have
been successful in your department (eg., new triage
initiatives, expediting patients’ stay in the emergency department, tackling
medication reconciliation)
n
2 or 3 member panels on how emergency departments
are dealing with overcrowding, backup, etc.
n
Clinical point / counterpoints
If we are not able to have you speak at this conference,
we will add your name to a speaker list to be considered for future NERS.
Do you know of a
dynamic speaker who has presented valuable information? We would appreciate recommendations for
speakers, and topics as well.
