NERS PLANNING SESSION

1.          Early registration deadline:          extended until March 22nd

            Gina will send e-mail (using excel rosters)

            Robin will send mailing to all NE hospitals

                          Place banner with this information on web site

                          Send message to all NE presidents and ask that they share with their members

                          Message to OEMS regional offices

 

2.          Need to check with National re: receipt of CECH application and publishing conference

            information on the ENA web site

 

3.          VENDORS:        18 paid

                                    26 confirmed

            Gina will call hotel and find out when vendors can set up/break down

            Vendors should make their own hotel reservations (mention NERS 2007)

            Final vendor confirmation/information letter to be sent

 

4.          Conference charge for Committee members

            As discussed before:        Committee chairs (Gina/Julie, Hospitality, Publicity, Education,

                                                                           Vendors, Registration, Secretary, Treasurer)

                                                            Will pay cost of food       $125.00 plus room costs and

                                                                                                  extra activities fees

                                                Committee members will pay full price plus room costs and extra

                                                                                         activities fees

            Speakers are not charged to attend conference (Gail will send this list to Deb Delaney)

            Others not charged for conference fees:

                                                NE state presidents (must pay for extra activities and room costs)

                                                Karen O’Neil Award winner (2007)

 

5.          Some inquiries have been made about the cost for “guests”

            National charges $75.00              what do they get for the $75.00?

 

            Guests may not attend education sessions

            Can visit with exhibitors

            May attend “Freddie and the Maybellines”

            May receive box lunch

 

6.          Some brochures were returned to Deb due to incorrect postage

            She put correct postage on them and sent back out

            Brochure in “pdf” file is available on Mass ENA web site   www.mass-ena.org

 

7.          NERS 2007 pins

            distributed to those attending meeting

            Cost:     $5.00 each

 

8.          Cranberry MENA shirts

            Have had many inquiries while at Leadership

                        Will purchase one in various size selections to sell at NERS for $30.00

            Faye will send in another order for State Council and NERS committee members who want one

                        Send her your size and $26.00

 

9.          BAGS:   Jordan may be contributing towards cost of bags, Joan needs to give Faye purchase    

cost

10.        Gift basket raffle:          Joan CZ has letter ready to send to hospitals (MA)

                                                Julie has the plastic containers that NH used

 

11.         Next meeting for committee chairs:          March 15th at Milford Hospital
